Blending Nordic jazz aesthetics with the rhythmic pulse of Cuban Son and the expressive depth of Balkan brass traditions, pianist and composer Yiorgos Bereris leads a trio that bridges cultures through dynamic interplay, improvisation, and lyrical storytelling.

Based in Rotterdam, Bereris collaborates with two exceptional musicians: Lambros Papanikolaou on double bass and Hektor Remsak on drums and traditional percussion. Together, they create a compelling sound where contemporary jazz meets folk traditions and global influences.

Influenced by the legendary Greek Fusion Orchestra of Kyriakos Sfetsas—where he was a core member during its revival (2018-2020)—as well as by Rotterdam’s rich international jazz scene, Bereris has cultivated a distinctive pianistic voice. His playing reflects the phrasing of Azerbaijani and Arabic pianists while remaining deeply rooted in the harmonic sophistication of modern jazz.

Following the success of his personal albums Laros (2023) and Siga y Silente (2024), he is now preparing a trio release while continuing to perform across Europe. After concerts in the Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, and Greece, the trio will embark on a March 2025 tour in Greece, with performances in Thessaloniki, Volos, Athens, and Larissa, before returning to Rotterdam for a special concert in April 2025.
